Selecting the best host

There are several factors that go into selecting the best web host for your needs. While its really easy for us to look at raw data such as prices, uptime, server performance, and traffic stats - it is much more difficult for us to understand what you are doing in your unique hosting situation. The most prominent factor? How about what type of scripts will you be running on the host? ASPX? Coldfusion? PHP? Straight HTML with no script? Its difficult for us to analyze and summarize a "best of 2010" post without knowing the answers to those types of questions for each individual.
